Annis Nadeane (Claypool) Weller passed away peacefully at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2020 to go to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is again with her beloved daughter Marcy, mom Claypool and many other loved ones.
Born June 24, 1934 to Harold and Iantha (Phillips) Claypool in Bismarck, Illinois, she was a beautiful, dark haired, dark eyed baby and the first of two children. Her sister Carolyn (Bob) Sanders survives her. For 85 years, Moms love and kindness filled this world. Compassion answered every door, but her empathy welcomed you in.
Nadeane attended Bismarck Grade School and met Richard (Dick) Weller in 1945 while she was in 5th grade and he in seventh. She graduated from Bismarck Township High School in 1952, and they were married September 6, 1953. They lived in Normal, IL while Dick finished his last three semesters of college. They spent 16 years in Ridgefarm where she raised five kids on his teachers salary. She made it work. Snicker Doodles were the cookie of choice because chocolate chips didnt fit the budget. If the rare trip to town provided an even rarer stop for lunch, each child was obligated to make a choice of either a burger or small fry; and thats how the bills got paid. All five children were born in the Ridgefarm years: Melinda Ann (Joe) White, Melissa Sue (Michael) Moore, Marissa Lynn Weller, Megan Maria (Greg) Weddle and John Richard (Emily Beach) Weller. Over the past 66 years, their family has grown to include 53 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and in-laws.
Nadeane knew few equals as an unpaid teacher - always schooling, always helping and always making time for those who might have need. She taught by example and insistently stayed on the move whether working or walking. Nadeane was a Sunday school teacher for over 60 years and a 4H leader while her girls were young. With strength enfolded in kindness, she ensured her children grew up knowing how to live their God-given lives.
In 1976, the family moved to Bismarck, IL where she and Dick made their home for 42 years by the North Fork River and woods carpeted with bluebells. Wonderfully friendly and outgoing, she never met a stranger she couldnt talk to for an hour. Those embracing skills are the reasons why she was successful in business. She spent 13 years as an award-winning Tupperware manager and 15 years selling Longaberger Baskets. She loved people, and they responded to that love so very well. Nadeane loved her church and worked hard to teach the Christian way. She played piano on Sundays and sincerely enjoyed singing hymns (although "How Great Thou Art" was by far her favorite). Simply stated, she lived the tenets of Christianity.
Every day was a house full of friends and family. The good days saw her enjoying birds at the feeders, soaking up sun, playing euchre or maybe bridge. The best days though, only needed coffee and good conversation.
Nadeane was preceded in death by her parents, her very favorite Aunt Bert and Uncle Floyd (Strebing), Aunt Evelyn (Phillips) who died as an infant, Grandma Carter and her beloved daughter Marissa Lynn. A love such as hers is rare and will be deeply missed by Dick, her children, family and friends. Though our loss weighs heavy, there is comfort knowing she is fully restored with the love of the only true Lord and Savior in Paradise.
