Anne Odle Prillaman

Anne Odle Prillaman, 99, passed away November 6, 2017, in Clearwater, Florida, after a very brief stay in the hospital, having left her Cudjoe Key home due to Hurricane Irma. She was born October 3, 1918, to Miles and Anna Bingham Odle in Mott, North Dakota. She graduated from John Greer High School in Hoopeston, IL, attended Drake University, Des Moines, IA. On January 8, 1939, she married Jack W. Prillaman. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2013. Anne is survived by two sons, Richard (Nancy) Prillaman of Memphis, TN; Tom Prillaman of Potomac, IL; four grandchildren; James (Becca) Prillaman of Memphis, TN; Amy (Jay) Buhr of Potomac, IL; Anne (Greg) Jarling of Oakwood, IL; Abby (Neil) Nebughr of Draper, Utah; 7 great-grandchildren: Kate Prillaman; Ashley and Ellie Masengale; Conor and Gavin Jarling; Josie and Nolen Cunningham and Cole Nebughr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James Prillaman; daughter-in-law, Jean Puzey Prillaman; granddaughter, Allison Prillaman; five siblings; Miles, Gretchen, Marlo, Geneva and Pauline. Anne was a homemaker and raised her family with Jack on their farm in Potomac, IL. The sports page was always given full attention, following all sports from tennis, baseball, football to fishing. An exercise enthusiast and avid swimmer, Jack built Anne a customized swimming pool with a lap lane, where she could be found every day swimming her mile. Anne was an independent thinker and masterful card player, Bridge her favorite. She was fortunate to have some of her grandchildren grow up next door to her, walking distance across the Bluegrass, where many a good memory was had and her homemade molasses crinkles always filled the cookie jar. Jack and Anne will be laid to rest at Potomac Cemetery at a later date with Military Honors.
