Anne M. Wulf

Anne Marie Wulf (nee Rademacher), 90, of Rossville, Illinois, formerly of Joliet, passed away on December 9 at Villas of Holly Brook in Danville. Born in Aurora, on August 25, 1932, she was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clara Rademacher (nee Ernst); Jochen 'Joe' Wulf with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage; and siblings Marilyn, Robert, and Arthur Rademacher.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Rick) Bingham of Rossville and Joe Jenkins of Elwood; her nephews, local to the area, Charlie (Vicky) Rademacher and Matt (Cathy) Rademacher; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews in Illinois, Virginia, and Germany.

Anne taught elementary school for over 30 years, starting her career at Fairmont School in Lockport and spending the majority of her career at Laraway and Oak Valley schools in Joliet. She especially enjoyed teaching mathematics and computer science to gifted children.

Anne was an avid crafter: ceramics, card making, sewing, quilting, quilling, painting, and more. You name it, she tried it! She was an active member of several local quilting guilds in Vermilion County and loved getting together with friends to go to Illinois Homemakers Camp or to play cards, especially Bridge. She also loved traveling, taking pictures, and bowling. She will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. A funeral service celebrating Annes life, officiated by Father Thomas Szydlik, will follow, starting at 11:30 a.m. at St. Pauls Catholic Church, 1303 N. Walnut St., Danville.
