Annabell "Ann" G. Auter

Annabell “Ann” G. Jinkins-Auter, 93, of Danville went to meet her Savior on October 14, 2024, she was at home.

Ann was born in Burt, MI on April 18, 1931, the daughter of Nellie and Benjamin Jinkins. She married Neuman Auter January 1, 1955 and they were blessed with 58 years of marriage.

Survivors include her four children, Sharon (Charles) Waggaman of Danville, IL, Larry (Jackie) Auter of Sidell, IL, Bob Auter and Sue Auter both of Danville, IL, a sister, Shirley Gonzales of Danville, IL a sister-in-law, Pietrenella Jenkins of Danville, IL and a brother, Mike (Carol) Jenkins of Little Chute, WI. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Bob, Bill, Roy and Ray Jenkins and one sister, Madge Palermo.

Ann was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, she spent many years in the Gainmore Class, she loved the activities, the fellowship and loved the class. She retired from the VA Medical Center after 14 years of service as a Food Service Worker.

In her younger years, Ann enjoyed roller skating and in her 80’s could still beat her kids at Bowling. She loved her flowers and planting new ones every year. She truly had a green thumb, and no one could bake a pie better than Ann.

Many special thanks to all those who took care of Ann. To family, Susan and Cathy Huffman, Barb Haggerty, Tony and Linda Foote, the Maynard Family as well as to all the Calvary Baptist Church and Gainmore Class members. She loved you all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Pastor Dan Kitinoja will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers please give memorials to Calvary Baptist Church or the Humane Society.
