Anna Stevens, 78, of Danville, passed away at 5:22am, March 28, 2009 at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center. She was born on November 8, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Eugene and Sophie (Sisko) Kobylak. Anna married Miles W. Stevens on October 4, 1952 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1998. Survivors include five children: Gene Stevens of Danville, Jim (Sandy) Stevens of Nashville, TN, John (Annette) Stevens of Danville, Lori (Casey) Radabaugh of Indianapolis, IN and Judi Stevens of Danville; sisters: Joan (Peter) Bakos of Barrington, IL and Emily (Burt) Nielson of Chicago, grandchildren: Jason & Jake Stevens of Nashville, Jarrett & Ryan Stevens of Danville, Daniel & Sammy Radabaugh of Indianapolis, IN, Brittni & Shelbi Stevens of Danville, great grandchild: Valentina Stevens of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Miles Jr. and sister Genvieve. Anna worked as a line operator at Quaker Oaks for 25 years until retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville for a number of years and enjoyed fishing, bingo, gardening, cooking, and was a loyal Cubs fan. Anna especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of Annas life will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Father Greg Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery later. Memorials may be made in Annas name to the Alzheimers Association 919 N.
