Anna 'Minnie' Montgerard

Anna Minnie Montgerard, 91, of Danville passed away on December 29, 2008 at North Logan Health Care. Minnie was born August 8, 1917 in Bunnsenville, IL daughter of Antonio and Angelina Zucca. She married Lewis J. Montgerard I on April 4, 1937. He preceded her on March 16, 1981. Survivors include son: Lewis J. (Sandy) Montgerard II; son-in-law: Richard (Shirley) Bott; grandchildren: Vickie Bott Nixon of Danville, James (Shannan) Montgerard of Danville, Karla (Rob) Gifford of Danville, Terri Barney of Danville, Dr. Kirk (Joy) Bott of Danville, and Craig Bott of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren: Anthony (Lindsey) Nixon, Kayla Nixon, Hillery Montgerard, Hunter Krauel, Ryan Nesbitt, Reagan Gifford, Cassie Roberts, and Laura, Amy, Andy, & Stephanie Bott. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Peggy Lou Bott on December 10, 1976, and a brother John. Minnie worked for Snower Sewing Factory for 25 years until retiring in 65, after retirement she went back to work for Danville Township transport of senior citizens for 10 years and retiring in 76. Minnie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and later St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville and the Daughter of Isabelle. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, camping, attending all of her grandchildrens sporting events, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. A visitation will be held from 11-1 on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. A service will follow with Rev. Greg Nelson officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Pauls Catholic Church or School, and/or Schlarman High School, or St. Jude Children Hospital. Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N.
