Anna Mae Davis-Cowan, 92 of Danville, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 9:34 AM. She was born December 18, 1923 in Williamsport, IN to Samuel and Ella Mae {Lincoln} Wright. She married James W. Davis on May 27, 1950 in Georgetown. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1983. She then married Lester Cowan, of Alvin, on June 17, 1989 in Attica. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2001. Anna is survived by her children, Glen M. (Sue) Davis of Danville, Thomas W. (Jan) Davis of Holly Springs, NC, Richard Cowan of Alvin, and LaVonne (Jim) Boudouris of Alivn; grandchildren, Jamie L. (Kurt) High, Kimberly Davis, Hunter Marie Davis, Tawnya (Brian) Nall, Marc (Cheri) Boudouris, Katherine Cowan, Cindy (Justin) Miller; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Kasandera, and Dalton High, Sophia Davis, Emelea, Seth, Patrick, and Justin Nall, and Ethan and Bennett Miller; great-great-grandchildren, Braxton Dean Liles-French and four more. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Stevie Davis; granddaughter, Lori Ann Cowan; brothers, James, Virgil, and Norman Wright; sister, Elva M. {Wright} Smith. Anna worked as a bookkeeper at General Electric for 5 years before deciding to stay at home and raise her children. She also served her country in the US Navy as a Navy Wave during WWII. Anna was a member of the Bismarck First Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame and an avid bowler until she was 84. Anna enjoyed playing cards and ran the Euchre table at the CRIS senior center. She loved to listen to the Gaither Homecoming Music and went to many church concerts and dinner shows. She had so much fun with her friends that she went on bus trips to Branson, MO. Anna will be missed greatly by all she knew. As per her wishes, Anna will be cremated and no public services will be held. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
