Anna Lucille Daniel, 93, of Westville, passed away at 5:53 a.m. Thursday, July 14th, 2011 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Anna was born on April 28th, 1918, in Catlin, the daughter of John Robert and Mae (Wilson) Williams. She married Paul Stokes on April 24th, 1937. He preceded her in death. She later married Carl Daniel on June 11th, 1983 at the 1st Church of Christ in Hoopeston. He survives. She is also survived by two sons- Robert L. (Susan) Stokes of Mattoon and Glenn Sonny H. (Melinda) Stokes of Weslaco, Texas; step-son- Alan Daniel of Westville; step-daughter- Charlotte (Larry) Rostron of New Lenox, Illinois; grandson- Nicholas Stokes of St. Joseph; ten step-grandchildren; and eleven step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-Hazel Simpson and an infant daughter. Anna graduated in 1936 from John Greer High School in Hoopeston. She worked at City National Bank in Hoopeston as an assistant cashier and head teller, until retiring. She was a member of First Church of Christ in Georgetown. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, crossword puzzles and traveling. A Celebration of the life of Anna Lucille Daniel will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18th, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, with Pastor Steve Rutter and Dale De Neal officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
