Anna L. Peterson

Bonnie, Ill. - Anna L. Peterson, 82, of Bonnie and formerly of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 1:24 a.m. CDT Thursday, March 29, 2012 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born June 13, 1929 in Georgetown, Illinois, the daughter of the late Shelby and Annie Brown Toby. She married Samuel I.Peterson on December 21, 1944 in Clinton, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2005. Survivors include her son, Greg(Victoria)Peterson of Bonnie, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren; one brother, John(Judy)Gebhart of Eugene, Indiana. She was preceded in death by one son, Edward Peterson; one sister, Kathryn Varnes and two brothers, Carl Toby and Robert Gebhart. Anna was a member of the Eugene United Methodist Church in Eugene, Indiana. She attended Cayuga High School. Anna spent time addressing heavy cooking at home and spending serious time with family activities. Funeral services: 3 p.m. EDT Sunday, April 1, 2012 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jon Overbey; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 2 p.m. EDT until time of services Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the funeral home.
