Anna L. Leclaire

Cayuga, Ind. - Anna L. LeClaire, 91, of Cayuga, passed away at 8:02 a.m. EST Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her residence.

She was born October 20, 1930 in Cayuga, the daughter of the late Karl F. and Opal A. (Hartman) Belser, Sr.. She married Dale Eugene LeClaire on October 23, 1949, in Cayuga. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2004.

Survivors include her son: Kerwin LeClaire (Betty) of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughter: Dena A. LeClaire of Williamsport, Indiana; four grandchildren: Brandon Eugene (Desiree) LeClaire of Oakwood, Illinois; Tyler Dale (Jessie) Thurman of Ridge Farm, Illinois; Tanner Cary (Aiyanna) Thurman of Evansville, Indiana and Logan Ann (Joseph) Hawker of Danville, Illinois; nine great grandchildren; two sisters: Ruth (Larry) Sager of Covington, Indiana and Martha Jane (Tom) Pinkston of Cordova, Tennessee.

Anna was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Heather D. LeClaire, and two brothers: Karl F. Belser, Jr. and James Belser.

Anna worked as a meat cutter at the local grocery stores in the Cayuga area for 37 years, last working at the Cayuga I.G.A. in 1985. She was a 1948 graduate of Cayuga High School. Anna was a member of the Cayuga Presbyterian Church and Busy Bee Bunco Club, and a past member of the Cayuga O.E.S.. She enjoyed working on crafts, painting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cremation has been accorded. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana. A private family graveside service and inurnment of cremains will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, Illinois at a later date.
