Anna Kunze

Anna M. Kunze, 93, of Danville passed away on March 21, 2010 at Provena USMC Logan Campus in Danville, Illinois. Anna was born March 20, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri daughter of Albert and Louisa (Stumpf) Mueller. She married Arkell Kunze on August 30, 1940. He preceded her in death. Survivors include four children Kay F. (John) Meece of St. Petersburg, Florida, Barbara Ann (James) Kadlec of Naperville, Illinois, Carol L. (Larry) Craig of Sparta, Illinois, John C. (Peggy) Kunze of Danville, Illinois; brother: Charles (Betty) Mueller of Webster Grove, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Kelly (Scott) Lindberg of Smithfield, Virginia, Susan (Alex) McEachern of Phoenix, Arizona, David E. Meece of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark E. Kadlec of Geneva, Illinois, Scott A. Kadlec of Chicago, Illinois, Jennifer (Brad) Kunze of Westville, Illinois, Christopher (Sarah) Kunze of St. Louis, Missouri, Melissa A. Kunze of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Andrew C. Kunze of Danville, Illinois; six great-grandchildren: Nathan, Ryan, and Alex Lindberg, Paige & Trent Ryan, and Jonathan Kunze; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Anna was a dedicated and loving homemaker who will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She was the heart to the family and will remain in their hearts forever. She was a member of St. Pauls UCC in Belleville, Illinois for over 60 years. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, reading, playing cards, and traveling. She loved to drive after finally getting her license at age 60, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. A Celebration of Annas Life will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois with Pastor Ken Cox from St. James UMC officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-11 am Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Marissa, Illinois on Wednesday March 24, 2010. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Annas name to Provena USMC Medical Center in Danville.
