Danville- Anna J. Drennan, 75, of Danville passed away at 12:24 AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on June 18, 1938 in Georgetown, the daughter of Andy and Mildred Prunkard Drotos. She married Gerald L. Drennan on March 2, 1991 in Westville. He survives. She is also survived by three sons, Steve (Cheryl) Bennett of Westville, Roger (Laurie) Bennett of GA, and Blair Bennett of Danville; three step-children, Julie (Mark) Bader of Eldridge, IL, Troy (Jana) Drennan of Danville, and Kristi (Jim) Wagle of Danville; step son-in-law, Jim Nern of Somonauk, IL; sister-in-law Peggy Drotos; seven grandchildren and 9 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends Kathy Coon, and Roger and Betty Garland. She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-daughter, Lori Nern, a brother, Joe Drotos, a sister, Sharon Trosper, and a great-grandson, Matthew. Anna worked at Teepak as a supervisor until her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed planting flowers and working outside in the yard and had also been a past member of the Sweet Adelines. Anna liked to travel. She enjoyed Branson, MO, taking cruises with her group of special cousins, and travelling to Florida to see friends. She could also be found on Friday nights having supper with her group of friends. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her entire family. She always looked forward to making chicken and noodles for Christmas and Thanksgiving for her family and loved to help Gerald host the annual tractor show. A service to celebrate the life of Anna J. Drennan will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Kevin Ziegler will officiate. Burial will follow at Gundy Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday, March 7, also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice or the Southside Church of Christ.
