Anna C. Damilano

Anna C. Damilano, 99, of Westville, died peacefully November 16, 2022, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville, IL. She was born May 14, 1923, the daughter of Martin and Susanna Krolak Hmura, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Nino B. Damilano on June 14, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1989. She is survived by a son, Eric A. Damilano of Westville; a daughter, Gretchen Damilano Robbins of Urbana IL; grandsons, Todd (Sherry) Damilano, and Scott Damilano; and three great-grandchildren, Trevor, Cole, and Cecelia Damilano. Anna was a homemaker whose collection of cake stands, cookbooks, and recipes is unrivaled. She enjoyed cooking and baking throughout her life, losing interest only a few weeks before her death. Yet, she was equally happy outdoors, mowing her yard, and gardening both vegetables and flowers. All that and an unwavering loyal and supportive wife and mother. She was a lifelong member of St. Marys Catholic Church, 231 N State Street, Westville, IL 61883 where her life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 19, 2022, her visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00am with Father Saupp officiating. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Danville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Marys Catholic Church and The Carle Auxiliary Guest House, Urbana, IL.
