Ann Newlin

GEORGETOWN - Ann Newlin, 83, of Georgetown, went to be with the Lord at 8:45am, Sunday, July 1st, 2007, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman. She was born on September 8th, 1923, to George and Sophia Gloss in Georgetown. She married Bennett H. Newlin on February 20th, 1943, in Colorado Springs, CO. He preceded her in death in 1988. Her parents, a brother-John Gloss, & her sister-Sophia Trojanowski, also preceded her in death. She is survived by: her three sons, Greg (Jane) Newlin, Jeff (Sharon) Newlin, and Clay (Sally) Newlin, all of Georgetown; her daughter, Annette (Alan) Hoskins, also of Georgetown; her seven grandchildren, Kurtis (Rebecca) Newlin of Moncks Corner, SC, Stuart (Holly) Newlin of Covington, IN, Andrew (Heidi) Newlin of Catlin, IL, Ryan Newlin of Noblesville, IN, Lauren (Caleb) Goulding of Westville, IL, Lindsay (Dan) De Pasquale of Louisville, KY, and Matthew Newlin of Collinsville; eight great grandchildren, Zeb Newlin, Gabe Newlin, Briar Rose Newlin, all of Covington, Marley Goulding, Cain Goulding, both of Westville, Levi Newlin of Moncks Corner, SC, Pyper Newlin, & Wyatt Newlin, both of Catlin; her sister Mary Loraitis of Manhattan, IL; her sister-in-law, Louise Gloss of Northbrook, IL; her brother-in-law, Don Newlin of Dana, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Ann was a homemaker and a member of the Elwood Friends Meeting. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Her prayer was that all her family would come to know Jesus. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. A celebration of Anns life will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, July 5th, 2007, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West Street, Georgetown, IL. Garry Hendricks will officiate the service. A visitation will be held at 11:00am to 1:00pm, Thursday, July 5th, 2007, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Elwood Cemetery.
