Ann Karcavich, age 93 of Westville, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 12:55 PM at Mother Teresa Home in Lemont. She was born July 19, 1922 in Westville, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Fazekas) Toth. Ann married Jack Karcavich on September 9, 1942 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westville. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2004. Surviving are her children, Margaret (Carl) Hafner of North Carolina and Dr. Joseph (Paula) Karcavich of Lemont; grandchildren, Rachel, Martha, Doug, Leslie, Tori, and Tony; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, daughter, Mary Louise, and 9 siblings. She was a member of the American Legion Post #51 Women's Auxiliary and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Ann also was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Ann enjoyed doing crafts and volunteer work. She was a member of the Blue Circle for 40 years. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She was an avid reader. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westville. Father Timothy Sauppe will officiate. Ann will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2-6 PM at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel in Westville.
