Ann Darlene Kagels

Ann Darlene Kagels, 82, of Westville passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. She was born in Dry Point Township on October 12, 1938, the daughter of Wilbur and Eva Landers. Ann was united in marriage to Gerald D. Kagels on June 7, 1957, in Catlin.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Kagels; daughters, Eva (Bill) Athey, Lynda Thompson, Teresa (John) Bales, Jerri Kay (Jeff) Huber, Gail Ricketts, Judi (Dale) Miles; grandchildren, Kyle Bartlow, Megan Bartlow (Amber Hillard fianc), Mike Thompson II, Justin (Kari) Thompson, Amanda (Dustin) Cockrell, Michelle Bales, Dusty (Billie) Huber, Heather Huber, Tori (Wayne) Gaide, Jerry (Jessica) Ricketts, Jessica Ricketts, Trevor, Dakota, Madison, and Taylor Miles; great-grandchildren, Kaydence and Trey Bartlow, Anna, Jenna and Ethan Thompson, Alex, Hailee, Wyatt and Carter Thompson, Olivia Cockrell, Salvador and Evie Huber, Von Gaide, Barrett and Bristol Ricketts; brothers, Gene Landers, David Landers; sisters, Kay Brown and Linda Meganhardt.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur V. and Eva F. Landers; son-in-law, Mike Thompson; brothers, William Landers, Raymond Landers, Tom Landers and sister, Sharon Spisok.

Ann graduated from Catlin High School class of 1957. She worked at Heatcraft Refrigeration for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Fargo Weekenders Camping Club and in her spare time enjoyed square dancing, fishing, crafts, and puzzles.

A Celebration of Anns life will be held at 11am on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 with Pastor Kevin Cox officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held the evening prior on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Anns name to the Alzheimers Association.
