Anita Schmidt

Anita "Gilroy" Schmidt 71 of Tilton, passed away at 9:25am Friday March 24, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 2, 1945 in Danville, the daughter of Paul and Violet Hewitt Gilroy. She will be missed by her children; Troy Myers of Tilton and Tonya (Eric) Mckown of Danville, three sisters; Sandy Thornton of Ogden, Elaine (Kevin) George of Veedersburg and Janice Wade of Danville, also two grandchildren, Kaleb and Angela Mckown both of Danville. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; David and Charles Gilroy. Anita was a member of Pleasant Mound Church of Christ, she enjoyed gardening and collecting Betty Boop memorabilia. She was a great cook and wonderful mother. A celebration of life funeral service for Anita will be at 11:00 am Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Pleasant Mound Church of Christ West of Georgetown with Pastor Paul Kent Officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 4pm to 7pm Tuesday March 28, 2017 at Pleasant Mound Church of Christ, also one hour prior to the service.
