Danville - Anita Palmer, 91, of Danville passed away at 9:31 AM on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born on December 7, 1922 in Danville to Albert and Marie Hageman Burmeister. She married Daniel Palmer on May 29, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2001. She is survived by two daughters, Diana (George) Pratt of Danville and Annette (Michael) Warner of Urbana; brother, Albert (Millie) Burmeister of Aurora, IL; five grandchildren, Ryan (Toni) Pratt of Mackinaw, IL, Aaron (Chelsea) Pratt of Fithian, Kristin (Nick) Perrine of Monticello, IL, Hillary Warner of Philo, and Rachael Warner of Park Ridge; and two great-grandchildren, Kinley Pratt and Charlotte Perrine. Anita was a graduate of Danville High School and was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and all sorts of crafts in her free time. She also enjoyed being a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church Bell choir, craft group, Sunday school secretary, and Womens Guild. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. A service to celebrate the life of Anita Palmer will be held at 11 am on Friday October 24, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. Pastor Michael Heidle will officiate. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday October 23, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Bell Choir or Danville Lutheran School.
