Anita Marie Livengood

Danville Anita Marie Livengood, known to many as "Lady Livengood", 87, of Danville, IL went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2023 at 10:25 AM.

Anita was born on October 29, 1935 in Danville, IL the daughter of Avery Mitchell and Dorotha (Willoughby) Potts. She married H.B. Livengood on July 13, 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1990.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Linda) Livengood of Hartford City, IN, Stephen (Sandy) Livengood of Waterloo, IL, three grandchildren, Timothy (Stacie) Livengood of Pheonix, AZ, Scott (Elizabeth) Livengood of Elburn, IL and Jonathan (Kerrith) Livengood of Champaign, IL, one granddaughter, Heather Livengood-Beavers of San Antonio, TX, eight great grandchildren, Samantha, Allie, Madeline, Abigail, Caleb, Joshua and Talan Livengood and Axton Bauer as well as one brother, Ronald (June) Potts of Leesburg, FL.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, husband, H.B. Livengood, one son, Kevin Livengood and one brother, Avery Gene Potts.

Anita attended Danville High School, Lincoln Trail College and Berean University. She served in ministry alongside her husband H.B. Livengood prior to his death in 1990. H.B. pastored at Assembly of God Churches in Hoopeston, IL from 1955-1968, Atlanta, IL from 1968-1970, Robinson, IL from 1970-1981 and then 1987-1990 and in Clinton, IL from 1981-1987. Anita received her license from the Illinois District Assembly of God in 1991 and was Ordained with the Illinois District Assembly of God in 1996. She, herself, pastored at the First Assembly of God Church in Newton, IL from 1991-1997, United Church of Tilton in Tilton, IL from 2001-2006 and 2011-2012, and the Robinwood Assembly of God Church in Robinson, IL from 2015-2016. Anita helped maintain the office of Mike Livengood Ministries for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed talking with people about Jesus, watching Gospel Videos and working with her flowers in her yard.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Rev. Phil Schneider, District Superintendent of the Illinois Assemblies of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
