Danville - Anita Louise Bunch, 94, of Danville, IL passed away at 12:08 AM on September 21, 2017 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman, IL. Anita was born on August 12, 1923 the daughter of Ben and M. Mae (Ransdell) Boring in Willow Hill, IL. She married Kenneth R. Bunch on January 2, 1943 in Danville and he preceded her in death on Dec 11, 1991. Survivors include her son, James (Gayle Kanies) Bunch of Austin, TX, two daughters, Linda (Richard) Martin of Danville, IL and Melissa (Jim Goldman) Bunch of Boulder, CO, three grandchildren, Melissa (Tim) Powell of Maynard, MA, Beth Hay of Lexington, SC, and Allison Cook of Austin, TX, one great grandson, Vincent (Amy Graham) Powell of Westminster, CO as well as two great great-grandchildren, Logan and Vanessa Powell of Westminster, CO. Anita is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth as well as one brother, James Boring. Anita graduated from Utterback Brown Business College and worked as a secretary for many years. She retired from the VA Medical Center. She was a member of the Junior Womans Club, Elks Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary, Danville Boat Club. She delivered books to the homebound for the Danville Public Library for many years and volunteered as a driver for Faith In Action. She enjoyed painting, cooking and playing cards in her free time as well as being an avid reader. She loved traveling. She also enjoyed her Tuesday Morning Koffee Klatch with dear friends. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. There will be no service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danville Public Library Foundation.
