Anita Kay Field, 72, of Covington, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2023. She was born on August 23, 1950, to P.G. and Gene Hampton in Zanesville, Ohio. After studying to be a nurse at Olney Central College, Anita married Terry Fielda marriage that would last for 52 years. While Anita continued nursing and caring for people throughout her life, her greatest joy was her three childrenTravis, Tyler, and Tiffanyand her eleven grandchildren. She had deep roots in the community of Covington, Indiana, but also travelled to thirty-seven countries, sharing the good news of Jesus. Anita will be remembered not just for what she did, but even more so for who she was. First and foremost, Anita is a child of God. She loved the Lord with all her heart and showed Gods love to every person she encountered. Anita was caring, compassionate, generous, sensitive, and kind. Whether in Bible studies, at the hospital, or on the mission field, she always pursued people with tenderness and grace. Anita was known for her hospitality. She served relentlessly and sacrificially to make sure that her home was always a space where people felt the love of Jesus. While Anita thrived in many roles, her most cherished were within her family. She and Terry were best friends, had a beautiful marriage, and were a faithful team in ministry. She deeply loved her children and shaped their character through her devotion and example. Her grandchildren, who affectionately call her "Nana," will carry on her legacy for generations to come. Anita is survived by her husband, Terry; her children, Travis (Dawnelle), Tyler (Shawna), and Tiffany (Jeremy Treat); her grandchildren, Joel, Ethan, Maddie, Kayelee, Kya, Chloe, Celina, Ashlyn, Lauryn, Evelyn, and Katelyn; and her brothers, Sonny and Kenny Hampton.
