GEORGETOWN - Angerico (Henry) Silvestro, 92, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, formerly of Georgetown, expired at 4:00pm on Friday, January 11th, 2008, with care of Local Hospice at Alterra House in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, January 21st, 2008, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL, with viewing from 2p-5p on Sunday, January 20th, 2008. He will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Henry was born in Clinton, IN, on November 16th, 1915, to Cesare and Margherita Silvestro, both from Italy. He married Laura Rollins on May 29th, 1937, who preceded him in death after 50 years of marriage. He then married Jeanette DeFord who also preceded him in death after 10 years of marriage. Henry worked as a coal miner early in his life and then as a Union Carpenter for over fifty years. Although he lived most of his life in Georgetown, IL, he worked building many skyways, bridges, homes, and buildings all over Illinois and Indiana. Henry was a lifetime member of the Carpenters Union and a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville, IL. In retirement he was known as the Accordion Man as he entertained playing duets with his niece, Marguerite Blakeney, at several nursing homes. He also enjoyed traveling with his nephew, James Silvestro. When he moved to Oklahoma to be closer to his daughter, he continued playing his accordion at Alterra House. Henrys two brothers, three sisters, three stepsons, and a niece preceded him in death. Those who survive him include: his daughter, Loretta Arnholt and husband, Terry, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to St. Pauls Catholic Church.
