Angela Kay Botkin, 47, of Hoopeston passed away at her home on Friday, December 18, 2015. Angel was born on June 23, 1968 in Danville. Angel is survived by her mom Sandra (Howard) Hanna of Danville; her children Lacey (Brandon) Wilcox of Indianapolis, Tyler Martin of Indianapolis, Brandon Botkin of Texas, and Zachary Martin of Danville; grandchildren, Alanna and Alaiya Wilcox and ZaRyah Martin; siblings, Lindsey Botkin of Iowa, Nathan (Erin) Hanna of Monticello, Justina Ramsey of Oklahoma, and Deborah Botkin of Indianapolis; and her special grandmother, Margaret Botkin of Hoopeston. She was preceded in death by her father, Lindsey Clayton Botkin. Angel loved to camp. She also loved dancing and singing to all kinds of her favorite music. Angel even taught dance classes in her earlier years. Being a caregiver for her grandmother was a big part of her life and taking her to church on Sunday was something that they enjoyed together. Angel had a smile that would light up any room she was in. She was so caring and could make friends with anyone. What Angel loved the most was her family and the greatest joy in her life were her grandchildren. A celebration of Angel's life will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville. Pastor Sid Payne will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 1-3 PM at the funeral home.
