Andrew Martin Denis Puglisi

Andrew Martin Denis Puglisi, 31, of Chicago, formerly of Champaign, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, June 29, 2024. He is survived by his parents, Bernard A. and Mary G. Puglisi, his brother Bernard T. Puglisi, and best friends J, M, and J, his aunts and cousins, and many wonderful friends whose love, support, and prayers have given us strength. Andrew attended St. Matthew Catholic School and graduated from the High School of Saint Thomas More in 2010. He played football for the Saint Thomas More Sabers and ice hockey with the Champaign Chiefs. He grew up a quiet but lethal defenseman; he loved his cats and playing the piano. A consummate napper who spurned suits and snobbery, Andrew could transport you into any Seinfeld episode with an exact quote. His infectious laugh, vibrant voice, and sense of humor instantly improved the moods of everyone around. His friends and family will dearly miss his jovial and boisterous personality.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19th 2024, from 9-10:30am at St. Matthew Catholic Church 1303 Lincolnshire Dr. Champaign, IL. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am. Andrew will be interred at St. Mary Cemetery in Champaign, IL.
