Andrew James King

Andrew James “Andy” King, 40, of Gifford, IL passed away suddenly at Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

He was born December 24, 1982 in Apache Junction, AZ, a son of Jim and Sandy King.  He married Elizabeth Davis on July 24, 2009 in Urbana.  She survives.

Also surviving are 4 children, Hadley King of Gifford; Colton King of Gifford; Aidan Bletscher of Gifford and Josh King of Gifford, 3 brothers, David King of Potomac, IL; Micah (Shannary) King of Farmer City, IL; JC (Olivia) King of Edgerton, WI and several nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Armstrong High School in 2001.  He worked at Kenan Advantage, Champaign hauling fuel.  He had previously hauled fuel for many local businesses.  He also helped at Ivan Young Farms.  Andy loved to spend time with his children and family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday morning at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 East Grove, Rantoul

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., prior to the service also at Lux Memorial Chapel.

Andy left far too soon and unexpectedly; the family takes great comfort from the gifts of life he was able to offer others through Gift of Hope.
