Andrew “Andy” Webster passed away peacefully at the age of 82 in his home in Saint Johns, FL after fighting a six-month battle with lymphoma. Andy was born in Teaneck, NJ and grew up in Santa Monica, CA. Andy moved to Hawaii in 1967 with Fireman’s Fund Insurance as a Personal Insurance Manager for the Hawaii Field Office. It was in Hawaii where he met his wife Dee, and they married in 1975. They lived in Kailua on the Island of Oahu where they raised their two beloved children Dana and Donovan, along with a son adopted by love, Rabinder Khurana. They moved to Novato, CA in 1991 when Andy was promoted to Director of Automobiles and Excess Liability at the Fireman’s Fund corporate office, and Novato is where he and Dee enjoyed the remainder of their 37 years of married life.
In 2012, after Dee’s passing, Andy relocated to Saint Johns, FL to be near his daughter Dana and her family. It was there that Andy continued his passion for woodworking, helped pick up kids after school, and enjoyed his well-earned retirement from his 41 years at Fireman’s Fund Insurance. In 2022 his daughter Dana and her husband Tim moved in with Andy to provide companionship and help run the household.
Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and is survived by his daughter Dana Webster Benson and son-in-law Tim Benson, of Saint Johns, FL; their daughter-in-law Suzanne Nicholson of Pleasant Hill, CA; his brother-in-law Raymond Norkus of Crest Hill, IL; their adopted son Rabinder Khurana, and four grandchildren; Emily Benson age 26, Ryan Benson age 23, Kyle Benson age 21, and Nolan Webster age 21. His beloved son Donovan predeceased Andy in 2005.
