Andrew 'Andy' Steven Lietard

Andy Lietard, 30, of Danville died at his residence Monday, February 24, 2020. He was born in Danville on May 18, 1989, the son of Marian Rhodes Lietard and the late John Lietard. He grew up in Westville and attended local schools. He graduated from Westville High School in 2007.

He was a great lover of reading all his life and went on to pursue a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Eastern Illinois University in 2012. He held several jobs over the years, but never found one he could feel passionate about. He derived much more pleasure from his family, friends and hobbies.

When he was not reading Andy enjoyed writing. Whether he was writing short stories or sharing his opinions on social media, he loved to express himself through the written word. He enjoyed the times he spent with his family and friends. He was always ready to go to a concert, a movie, a party or just to hang on the couch. He particularly enjoyed his role as 'funcle' to his nieces and nephew and the 'cousin's fun nights' he would host for them. He loved his puppers Tobi. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to help others.

Brobee, you left us much too soon. We love you. We will miss your always sunny smile. Without our Yoshi the tournament must come to an end, but we hope to play with you when we meet again.

Andy is survived by his mother Marian Lietard, his brother John Lietard, his sisters Katie Trussel (Matt Cottle) and Jenny (Mike) Perras, his nieces Autumn, Briana, Kaylynn, Savannah and Adelyn, his nephew Xander, several uncles, aunts, cousins, too many friends to name and Tobi. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

A celebration of Andy's life will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883. Visitation will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home prior to his service. The family will be hosting a dinner in the ballroom of the Westville American Legion at 5:00pm Sunday, March 1, 2020. He will be laid to rest at 11:00am, Monday, March 2, 2020, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Paris, Illinois. The family hopes to see everyone there and hear their memories of Andy.
