Anastasia Demos, 104, of Danville passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday September 24, 2015. Anastasia was born in Vytina, Greece the daughter of John and Evangiline Diamandopolos. She married William Demos in Vytina, Greece in 1938 he passed away in 1979. Anastasia leaves behind two sons; John (Mimi) Demos of Indianapolis, IN., and Andy (Wanda) Demos of Belle Fourche, SD., one daughter in law Brenda Demos of Danville, three grandchildren; William Demos, James (Stephanie) Demos, Stasia (Matt) Demos-Mills, four great grandchildren; Nicholas, AJ and Lucas Demos and John Silas Mills. Anastasia was a life member at Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church in Champaign, Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Chapel of Danville and one of the founding members of Philoptochos Ladies Society. Anastasia and her husband William owned and operated Main Caf on the old square in Danville from 1938 until retirement in 1960. A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville for Anastasia on Thursday October 1, 2015 from 1pm-2pm with a Greek Orthodox service to be held at 2pm. Burial will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery following the service. Memorials can be made in Anastasia's name to Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church of Champaign.
