Amelia M Lower

Amelia M. Marlo Lower, 94, of Westville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, May 25 at Heartland Health Care Center in Henry, Illinois. Amelia was born on December 2, 1921 in Westville, Illinois, daughter of Florence (Fiorello) and Rose Marlo. She married Russell E. Lower February 1, 1945 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death July 26, 1986 in Danville, Illinois. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Celesta Maross, and brother, Robert Marlo from Westville, Illinois. Amelia, a homemaker, volunteered at the Vermilion County Nursing Home in Tilton, Illinois at the Strawberry Patch for many years as well as Faith in Action in Westville, Illinois. She had many interests including sewing, quilting, reading, and gardening. Surviving are three daughters; JoAnne (William) White of Berea, KY; Nancy Picklap of Winchester, VA, and Sandra (Jeffery) Colwell of Chillicothe, IL. Amelia is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State Street, Westville, Illinois on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00AM. Reverend Bob Cornell will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith in Action, 302 N.
