Amanda Day

Amanda Day, 40, of Champaign passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

She was born June 15, 1981 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to mother Lori Day and biological father Rex Burger.

Amanda is survived by both parents, her teenage daughter Brooklynn Ray, fianc Bryan Ray, her sisters Jennifer Day and her three daughters Makenzie, Makayla and Kyleigh and other sister Catherine Baker and brother Jack Baker, grandmother Kay Lieb, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.

She was preceded in death by adoptive father Bill Day, maternal grandfather Keith Lieb and cousin Warren Lieb, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

Amanda loved being in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. She held head chef position at her job. She had the best sense of humor. Anyone around her would be laughing and smiling. Amanda had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Come join Amandas family at her Celebration of Life held on May 28th from 1pm 4pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 710 N. Neil Street in Champaign.
