Alys French

Alys French of Covington, IN passed away November 14, 2019 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital.

She was 79. Alys was born February 18, 1940 to Robert and Mary Townsend. Alys was 1 of 16 children.

Survivors include 2 sons, Derek (Debbie) French Covington In, Scott French Covington In. 3 daughters, Michelle (Michael) Hayman, Covington In. Susan (Randy) Fruits Crawfordsville In. April (Tim) Riley Crawfordsville In. Alys leaves behind 13 grandkids, 17 great grandkids.

Alys was a homemaker. Alys was married on September 27, 1958 to Fredrick A. French Sr. Fred preceded her in death November 24, 1992. Alys was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Fredrick A. French Jr.,7 sisters and 5 brothers.

Per Alyss wishes there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm EST at Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, IN with Virgil Moss officiating. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, IN 420 3rd St. Covington, IN 47932 is in charge of arrangements.
