Aloma Dianne Unzicker, 58, of Danville, passed away peacefully at 3:22am Sunday, January 25, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on January 23, 1951 in Goreville, IL, the daughter of Richard and Orpha Lee (Black) Sullivan. Dianne was married on March 21, 1980 to Daniel Unzicker. He survives. Also surviving are her mother, Orpha Lee, two children, John (Stephanie) Kerst and Angela Barabas, four very special grandchildren, Arlen and Rhylee Kerst and Savana and Maecii Barabas, and one brother, Richard Sullivan. Her father and her sister, Patricia Gilbert, preceded her in death. Dianne attended Diamond Grade School and graduated from Oakwood High School. Model Star Laundry employed her for 38 years as plant manager. Dianne enjoyed taking pictures, shopping, and driving her sport cars. She loved Gospel music and was a member of Vermilion Heights Christian Church. Diana was a wonderful wife, mother, and nana. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dianne had many special friends and was a joy to be around. She touched the lives of every person she met. Everyone that shared apart of her life will sadly miss Dianne. A celebration of life for Aloma Dianne Unzicker will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Vermilion Heights Christian Church, 725 Oakwood Ave., with Pastor Rod Godley officiating. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Visitation will be one hour prior (10:00am -11:00am) the service at the church on Wednesday.
