Almena Willfong

Almena L. Willfong, age 83, of Parrish, FL, formerly of Danville, passed away at 9:15 am EST. on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, FL. She was born August 7, 1924 in Danville the daughter of Sidney Albert and Gertrude Louis (Snyder) Moody. She married Wilmer E. Willfong in Dillon, South Carolina. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2006. Almena is survived by three daughters: Tina Miller of Parrish, FL., Lisa Willfong of Bradenton, FL, Rosie Cates of Florida; one sister: Joannne See; six granddaughters; four grandsons; two great granddaughters and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter: Christine Powell, three brothers and one sister. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services scheduled at this time. Almena will be laid to rest with her husband, Wilmer, at Danville National Cemetery in Danville. Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center is handling local arrangements.
