Danville Alma "Maxine" Beever, 90, of Danville passed away on November 4, 2019 at 12:20 AM at Mattoon Healthcare in Mattoon, IL. Maxine was born on October 7, 1929 in Covington, IN the daughter of Joseph and Opal (Kizer) Wirth. She married Harry Beever on August 17, 1951 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2019.

Survivors include one son; Lance (Susan) Beever of Mattoon, IL, two grandsons; Matthew (Amber) Beever of Mattoon, IL and David (Candice) Beever of Jersey City, NJ as well as two great-grandchildren; Alyssa and Jordan and several nieces and nephews.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry, two brothers; an infant brother and Joseph Wirth as well as one sister; Mary Katherine Gremore.

Maxine and Harry enjoyed 68 years of marriage and played three card Rummy every morning. She was retired from General Electric after over 25 years of service and loved spending time with her grandsons; attending their events, playing Euchre and enjoying her dogs and cats, especially her dachshunds.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Miles Clark will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 10-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
