Alma Lucille Spandau

Alma Lucille Lucy' Spandau, 85, formerly of Wake Forest, NC and a member of Stony Hill Baptist Church, was called home to Heaven on June 11, 2016. She was born at home in Crum, West Virginia on August 22, 1930. She was the 5th of 10 children born to the late John S Marcum & Lorena Vera Parsley Marcum. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Spandau. They were married almost 32 years before his death in 1984. Son, Michael died in 2014. She is survived by four sons: Ken (Marie), Kelvin, Steve (Yumiko), and Richard; two daughters: Nancy McElyea and Teresa Johnson; four sisters: Kate Meade, Virginia Daloia, Barbara (Lawrence) Pauley, and Rita K (John) Hereford; and one brother Glen (Joyce) Marcum; fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday July 1, 2016 at Connexion Church 2915 Townway Rd Danville, IL with the Reverend Joe Humrichous officiating. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N.
