Ridge Farm, Ill. -- Alma Fauniel Mariage, 86, formerly of Ridge Farm and a resident of Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman, Illinois passed away at 6:35 p.m. CST Friday (February 23, 2007) at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home. She was born June 22, 1920, in Humrick, Illinois, the daughter of the late Fred and Zona Fortner VanDuyn. She married Anthony L. Mariage on August 14, 1936 in Newport, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1970. Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie(Stanley)Harvey of Cayuga, Indiana; one son, Ron Mariage of RidgeFarm, Illinois; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; one brother William(Marilyn)VanDuyn of Lansing, Illinois; three sister in laws, Helen VanDuyn of Richmond, Indiana; Millie VanDuyn of Calumet City, Illinois and Marie Martin of Tilton, Illinois. She is preceded in death by a great granddaughter, three brothers and two sisters. Alma was a housekeeper for many years in the Ridgefarm area. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and the outdoors. Graveside services and burial: 2:30 p.m. EST (1:30 p.m. Illinois Time) Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, Illinois; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Visitation: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from Noon to 2 p.m. EST (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Illinois Time) at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana.
