Alita J. Schlunaker

Alita Jean Schlunaker, 80, passed away on July 1, 2019 at Carle Hospital in Urbana. She was born on October 28, 1938 the daughter of Ernest and Jula (Crowder) Pollard. They precede her in death.

Also preceding Alita in death include her siblings; Paul Pollard, Morris Pollard, Freeman Pollard, and Wilma Wise.

Alita leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Larry Schlunaker; daughter, Cynthia Jean Harlan; grandchildren, Rex Anthony (Cynthia) Jewell Jr. and Kelly (Wendy) Jewell; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Alitas passion was sewing. She built a business with her husband called Browse Around. The business successfully made custom window treatments, cushions, and pillows. Pillows were Alitas favorite thing to make, adopting the name The Pillow Lady.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 08, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
