Alice Weston-Ireland

Alice Weston-Ireland, 77, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:15pm, Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman. She was born on May 14, 1933, in Sidell the daughter of William and Sadie {Dowers} Willming, both deceased. She was married to Claude C. Pruitt who is the father of three loving children: Larry E. (Gail) Pruitt of Georgetown, Teresa Boufford of North Carolina, & Vickie Russell of South Carolina. She also is survived by: several step-children; her brothers, Richard (Linda) Willming & Thomas Willming; and her sister-in-law, Wilma Wilming. She was preceded in death by: a sister; a brother; two husbands, Kenneth Weston & Freemont Ireland. Alice worked for Davies Meat Packing in Danville. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Georgetown. She loved the Lord and her church. She leaves behind many dear friends, in particular, her special friend Shirley Fletcher of Georgetown. A celebration of Alices life will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service on Saturday. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Alices name to Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
