Alice Pruitt

Alice L. Pruitt, 73, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:03am, Monday, March 19, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born in Attica, IN, on July 25, 1938, the daughter of John C. and Versie {Bartley} Martin, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Donald Pruitt on December 25, 1968, in Danville, until his passing on August 13, 2000. She will be missed by: her children, Jerry (Jana) Gooch of Palmer, Alaska, Wes Gooch of Florida, Sheila Mack of Indiana, Sonya (Darin Strack) Maurer of Tuscola, IL, Sandy (Dennis) Jackson of Escondido, CA, Vicki Gooch of Alaska, Robyn (Charlie) Hayman of Ridge Farm, IL, Karen Pruitt, & Darla Keys; her grandchildren, James, Caleb, Jeremy, T.J., Justin, Alissa, Addison, Amy, B.J., Ethan, Stephanie, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Martin. Alice & Don farmed together for most of her life until Don's passing. She also worked for Georgetown Foods for 16 years. Alice really enjoyed being with her family, grandkids, & friends. A celebration of Alice's life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday prior to her service. She will be laid to rest in Stearns Cemetery, Fithian.
