Alice L. Daugherty

Alice Lucille Daugherty, of Danville, Illinois, entered her eternal rest on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Born on January 14, 1934 in Papineau, Illinois to Derold Benjamin and Ruth Ann (Taylor) Bartlow, Alice is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert C. Daugherty and their three children: Bob Daugherty (Linda), Stephanie Daugherty, and Mark Daugherty (Ann). She leaves five dearly loved grandchildren and four cherished great grandchildren. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Alice was a devoted Latin teacher of 25 years at Danville High School, sharing her love of literature and the excitement found in the pages of her beloved books with her students and grandchildren alike.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Randall Robinson. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
