Alice Hall

Alice Marie Hall, 80, of Westville passed away at 9:31 a.m. Friday November 26, 2010 at St. Vincents Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on July 16, 1930 in Sidell, IL the daughter of Frank W. and Lida M. (Green) Cox. She married Fred C. Hall on September 23, 1951 in Danville, IL. He survives. Other survivors include her son, Bob (Donna) Hall of Kokomo, IN, her granddaughters, Whitney (Mike) Steltenkamp of Kokomo, IN and Andrea (Brad) Willits of Greentown, IN, and her great grandkids, Cora and Matthew Willits. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Eric, Raymond, and Bill Cox, and three sisters, Faye Binkley, Della Mae Kees, and Mary Jane Osborn Alice was a graduate of Sidell High School and of St. Elizabeth Nurses Training Class of 1951. She worked as and RN at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a member of the American Legion Post 51 Auxiliary, St. Elizabeth Hospital Nurses Alumni, and T.O.P.S who met at Trinity United Church of Christ. Alice donated her time at the Vermilion County Nursing Home, working in the Strawberry Patch. For twenty years she worked in the kitchen at the U.A.W. 579 serving the retirees. She attended the Holy Family Catholic Church. Alice enjoyed knitting, sewing, traveling, and volunteering to help others. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Alices life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday December 1, 2010 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home. Fr. Timothy Sauppe will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday November 30, 2010 at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
