Alice Hafner

Danville - Alice Hafner, 81, of Danville, passed away on November 11, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born on March 28, 1932 in Danville the daughter of Gordon and Opal (Cockell) Lee. She was married to Lowell Hafner on June 9, 1972 in Danville he preceded her in 2008 She is survived by her son Michael Price; step-sons Jon (Carole) Hafner, Gail Hafner, Mike Hafner, and Danny (Kim) Hafner; her step-daughters Carole (Greg) Fritz, and Nancy (Ron) Wilson; her sisters Shirley Newberry, and Susan (Dave) Merritt. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons Gary price, and Jeffery Richardson; her brothers Bob Lee, and Don Lee; and her sisters, Bessie Manner, and Judy Bokey. Alice was a lover of country music; she also loved being out in the country. She loved to go fishing in Lake Shelbyville and she loved to camp at the Kentucky Dam. Alice also loved to read, she would read anything and everything. Above all else Alice loved her family and she will be sorely missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. A celebration of Alices life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday November 15, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville, Pastor James Blue will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 1pm-2pm on Friday November 15, 2013 at the funeral home.
