Alfred 'Casey' Perry

Alfred F. Perry Sr of Danville passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side at 1:00am Sunday January 2, 2005. Born on November 3, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pa, he was the only child of Beatrice and Fred Perry. Known all his life as "Casey" he was raised in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada. In 1937 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in England before the United States entered World War II. He joined the United States Army Air Corp in 1941, which later became the United States Air Force. Casey retired from military service as an officer In 1963. He sold automobiles for many years in Rantoul, before retiring in 1977. He was a great salesman, as he never met a stranger. On Christmas Eve, 1944 Casey married Irene Figgins, in Huntington, W, VA they celebrated 60 years of marriage on December 24, 2004. He is survived by Irene also his four children, Suzanne (Mike) Wilson of Mansfield, Texas, Sandi (Bob) Randall of Danville, Fred (Gigi) Perry of Overland Park, Kansas, and Sally Emory of Danville. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Casey was a loving husband and father and was a great source of entertainment to every one he met. For 30 years he and Irene spent winters in Florida and summers in his beloved Canada, before moving to Danville permanently in 2002. Casey will be long remembered for his love of God and country, his incredible sense of humor, his love of music, love for animals, and most of all his love for all children, especially his own.
