Alexander 'Alex' Anderson

Danville- Alexander "Alex" Anderson Jr., 77, of Danville, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2015 at his home. He was born on June 24, 1938 in Danville, the son of Alexander and Bernice (Cline) Anderson Sr. He married Nancy Stein in 1970 in Danville and had 45 wonderful years with her before she passed on January 2, 2015. Alex will be deeply missed by sons; John (Stacey) Anderson of Springville and Donnie (Shay Anspach) Anderson of Oakwood, grandchildren; Jordan (Brye) Creek and son Samuel, Austin Anderson, Shelby Bennett, Josh Anderson, Alex Anderson and Zachary Anderson, special friends, Pat Ahrens and Janet (John) McColloch and many cousins. Alex was a 1956 graduate of Schlarman High School in Danville. He worked for many years at Quaker Oats where he made several great friends. Alex loved spending time with his wife Nancy and their dog "Ginger". He loved watching the Indy 500 and his grandchildren play sports. Alex was always excited about poker night with the guys and his loss will surely be missed. A celebration of life memorial visitation for Alex will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville.
