Aletta Mae Hensley

WESTVILLE- Aletta Mae Hensley, 77 of Westville, passed away at 12:45am on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Provena USMC in Danville. Mrs. Hensley was born on September 17, 1929, in Saline County, IL, the daughter of H.T. and Anna L. Johnson Craig. Both of her parents precede her in death. Aletta was wed on November 17, 1957 to Mr. George Hensley. He preceded her in death in April of 1996. Mrs. Hensley is survived by: her step-son, John (Mary) Hensley of Champaign; her step-daughter, Janice Baspian of Chicago, IL; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Hensley of Tilton; as well as her nieces and nephews. Her 10 siblings precede Aletta in death. Aletta was a homemaker and a former waitress at the Deluxe Restaurant in Danville for a period of time. She dedicated her life to the Community Church of God in Danville for many years, always eager to lend a helping hand in time of need or sickness to one of her fellow church family members to which she loved dearly. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A celebration of Aletta Mae Hensleys life is scheduled for Friday, January 19, 2007 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel of Westville located at 414 S. State St. in Westville. Final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Stanley. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of service at the funeral home.
