Alberta June Smiley

Cayuga, Ind. - Alberta June Smiley, 85, of Cayuga, passed away at 5:50 a.m. EDT Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born April 11, 1930 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ora E. and Maude E. Jones McCarty. June married Richard L. Smiley on April 6, 1962 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2010. Survivors include her nephews, Glenn(Natalie)Fulton of Longview, Texas and William Fulton, Jr. of Danville, Illinois; great nephews, Seth Fulton of Longview, Texas; Kenneth Fulton Sapp and his children, Braden, Kaitlyn and Madison all of Westville, Illinois and Jacob Fulton of Danville, Illinois; great niece, Steffanie Fulton and her children, Shawn and Isabella all of Danville, Illinois; sister-in-law, Karen Sue White of Danville, Illinois and special friends, Stephen(Amy)King of Cayuga, Indiana. June was preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert and George Wallen. June was a homemaker. She was a member of the Community Lighthouse Church of Cayuga. June enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Monday, August 3, 2015 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jimmy C. Dowers; Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana; Visitation: Noon EDT until time of services at the funeral home.
