Albert Darrell Hosmer

Newport, Ind. -- Albert Darrell Hosmer, 72, of Newport, passed away at 6 p.m. EST Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born July 24, 1938 in Newport, Indiana the son of Albert Oltia and Blanche Bailey Hosmer. Survivors include one daughter, Theresa Renee Hosmer of Texas; one son, Darrell Gene Hosmer of Arizona; his mother, Blanche Hosmer of Newport, Indiana; two grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Steward of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Janet Stalker of Osceola, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Oltia Hosmer. Darrell was a self employed carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking and working on his computer. A private family service and burial of cremains will be held at a later date. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
