Albena P. 'Abby' Brown

Albena P. Abby Brown 80 of Danville passed away at 11: 45 P.M. Tuesday February 7, 2006 at Provena USMC Hospital. She was born March 30, 1925 in Berwyn, IL, the daughter of Michael and Mary Sabolik Juracek. She married Sheldon Brown in June of 1946 in Chicago, he preceded her in 1989. Survivors include one daughter; Carol (Rob Huddleson) Catalina of Catlin, one son; Mark Brown, two sisters; Mildred Juracek of New York City, New York, Stephanie Curtis of Sevierville, TN, two grandchildren; Sarah (Jacob) Catalina Kruse of Rantoul, Kyle Catalina of Catlin,two Great-grandchildren; Riley and Logan Kruse of Rantoul and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, one brother, and three sisters preceded Abby. In her early years, Abby was a secretary for the Burlington & Northern railroad in Chicago. She was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church where she was vital in the gardening of flowers in and around the Church; she loved to do volunteer work wherever she was needed. Abby loved to go fishing and crabbing in Florida with her husband, she was a bird watcher and loved her cat Princess. Most of all she enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
