Alan C. Wynkoop Alan C. Wynkoop, 93, of Covington and formerly Danville, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Waters of Covington. He was born August 10, 1913 in Wolcott, Indiana, the son of Charles F. and Blanche M. (Martin) Wynkoop. He married Louise M. Turck on September 1, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. Alan is survived by his Daughter Bonnie L. Deal and his Son-in-Law Joseph Deal of Covington, grandchildren Jeff (Darlene) Wynkoop and Julie (John) Manning, and Clinton, Matthew, and James Deal, Great-Grandchildren Kelly (Drew) Raine, Alan (Nicole) Wynkoop, Robert Wynkoop, Melissa and Macie Manning, and Ethan and Chase Deal, as well as one Great-Great-Grandchild, Tigerlily Raine. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Alan J. Wynkoop, and one brother Lewis M. Wynkoop. Alan graduated from Reynolds High School in 1932. Later he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Tee Pak for over 35 years, finally retiring in 1976. He loved to fish in his spare time, as well as help out his neighbors whenever they needed a hand. A jack-of-all-trades, Alan also enjoyed building wind chimes. His loving, caring, and generous nature and sense of humor will always be remembered by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Alans life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville Illinois, with visitation beginning an hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Pastor James Blue will be officiating the service. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
