Alan Houldridge

Alan W. Houldridge, age 53, of Alvin, passed away at 12:55 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at his home. He was born on September 10, 1954 in Danville the son of Ronald and Betty Houldridge. He married Brenda Gouty on September 24, 1977 in Danville. She survives. Alan is also survived by his mother: Betty; seven children: Darrell W. (Donna), Jennifer (Scott), Aurora, Roy (Theresa), Scott (Angie), Lisa, and Love; several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother: Michael Houldridge. Alan worked as a mechanic and general laborer. He worked for Lowes in Danville until his illness no longer allowed him to work. Alan loved playing music and fishing. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He touched the lives of many children that he was a father figure to.
